October - Wildflower Planting Time!October means it is time to plant wildflowers for early spring blooms in Texas! Wildflowers must get cold before they bloom so you want to actually plant the seeds about 1/4 of an inch deep. Water them well and then let them grow. They won't bloom until early spring. In the spring of 2024, we had spectacular blooms out here and I hope it is that good or better in the spring of 2025. David and I are planting wildflowers this month. We are also planting onion seeds, namely the Texas 1015Y onions! These are beautiful yellow onions that should be in the ground by the end of October here in Texas. You can shop for all of our seeds at our website, David's Garden Seeds. This is the Royal Blue Lady Bird Johnson bluebonnet.Above, I have pulled a beautiful Texas 1015Y onion last fall. Need fall garden ideas? Here they are! God bless you all. Have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for all of your support! Juanita aka Mrs. David's Garden SeedsĀ® |
